Do I need to purchase reagents separately?

SALSA® MLPA® and digitalMLPA™ reagents are supplied in reagent kits. These reagent kits contain all general reagents that you need from MRC Holland, with the exception of an application-specific probemix. Reagent kits are not included with the purchase of an MLPA or digitalMLPA probemix, and must be ordered separately. A single reagent kit can be used together with multiple application-specific probemixes.

Reagent Kits do not include SALSA HhaI, which is required for methylation analysis, optional reagents and general laboratory reagents. See the (MS-)MLPA and digitalMLPA protocols for details.

SALSA Melt Assay reagents are part of the assay itself and are included with the purchase of a Melt Assay.

The reagents in MLPA and digitalMLPA reagent kits can be purchased individually, but this is not recommended in most situations. Reagents for Melt Assays cannot be purchased individually.
