What is the expiry date of MLPA and digitalMLPA reagents?

A shelf life of at least one year after shipment is guaranteed for SALSA MLPA Reagent Kits, digitalMLPA NXtec Reagent Kits and NXtec Barcode Plates, provided that they are stored under the recommended conditions directly upon arrival. The individual reagent vials in reagent kits also have separate expiry dates, which may be more than one year after shipment.

SALSA MLPA and digitalMLPA probemixes and SALSA Sample DNAs expire five years after the production of the lot.

The expiry date of each individual reagent, probemix or Sample DNA is always printed on the vial label.

Background

Although MLPA and digitalMLPA reagents are very stable, it is important to store all products immediately upon arrival according to the conditions recommended in the relevant protocol or the product-specific product description. Generally this means that products should be stored at a temperature between -25°C and -15°C, shielded from light, and in the original packaging.

Please note that probemixes and Sample DNAs are not part of the reagent kit, and that they are not guaranteed to have a shelf life of more than one year after shipment. If a probemix has a shelf life shorter than one year, you will be informed upon placing your order.
