Coffalyser Definition Files (.cdf) contain the information required for the analysis of an experiment with Coffalyser digitalMLPA. This includes analysis settings, file locations, sample sheets and optional data such as sample names, sample types, genders and experiment types.
Coffalyser Definition Files can be created in three different ways:
- Coffalyser digitalMLPA allows you to create a Coffalyser Definition File using an easy wizard when starting an analysis. This is often the easiest way.
- The separate Definition Editor included with Coffalyser digitalMLPA can be used to create a (partial) Coffalyser Definition File prior to analysis, e.g. with just the sample and barcode definitions but without reference to the FASTQ files.
- For advanced users, it is possible to open and edit Coffalyser Definition Files directly in a standard text editor. This can be useful in automated analysis pipelines.
The Coffalyser digitalMLPA User Manual contains information on how to use Coffalyser Definition Files to start an analysis from the command line. |
