Occasionally, a precipitate can form in the SALSA MLPA Buffer. This is normal and is not indicative of a problem with the product. However, this precipitate should be redissolved before use of the buffer.
To redissolve the precipitate, heat the buffer by placing the vial in a water bath set to 65–70°C for a few minutes. Let the vial cool down to room temperature and vortex until the precipitate disappears.
It is important to always thoroughly mix the solution before use (e.g. by vortexing).
