How do I find which version of Coffalyser digitalMLPA I have?

The Coffalyser digitalMLPA version numbering system has changed as of v2.5.0, which was released online on 09 December 2025. As of this version, you can easily find the version number of your software package on the About dialog. A link to this dialog can be found on the first page of the software.

You can also find the software package version in the release notes which are included in the _Documentation folder in the location where you unpacked Coffalyser digitalMLPA.

The software package version number cannot be found on the PDF reports generated by the software. If you have a report PDF and wish to know the software package version, you can compare the version numbers of the individual modules (which are available on the reports) with those mentioned in the release notes.

Older software versions

Coffalyser digitalMLPA versions prior to v2.5.0 do not have an About dialog. Version numbers can be found in the release notes in the abovementioned _Documentation folder or on the PDF results reports.

Background

Coffalyser digitalMLPA consists of several modules that are bundled in a single software package, including modules for data analysis, reporting and configuration. Each module has a date-based version number, but the software package as a whole also has a version number that is increased every time one or more of the modules are updated.
